Angel food donut
It's time for angel food cake. I made simple angle sponge, white chocolate cream and I fried some bananas. It was delicious, sent straight from heaven!
Recipe:
ANGEL FOOD CAKE: yields: 6
-4 large egg whites
-150 g sugar
-60 g flour
-1 tsp baking soda
-1teasp lemon juice
-1teasp vanilla extract
-pinch of salt
First you have to prepare your egg whites. Separate them from egg yolks and let them sit at room temperature for minimum 30 minutes.
Mix together flour, baking soda, salt and 100 g of sugar. Sift them twice and set aside. In a big bowl beat your egg whites and slowly add in remaining sugar. Beat to soft peaks. Then add in lemon juice and mix again.
Take your spatula, add in third of the dry mixture and slowly mix it in. Do this until everything is combined. Make sure not to lose all the air in the egg whites.
Bake for 25-30 minutes at 175°C or until light brown on top. I used my donut baking pan from which I got 12 little cakes, and I pair them together to make 6 angel food donut.
CHOCOLATE GANACHE:
-200 g dark chocolate
-100 ml whipping cream
Chop chocolate into small pieces and place in a bowl. Boil the cream and pour over chocolate. Whisk together and set aside.
WHITE CHOCOLATE CREAM:
-300 ml whipping cream
-100 g white chocolate
Melt chocolate and let it cool for a bit. At the end of mixing your cream slowly add in melted chocolate.
FRIED BANANAS:
-2 bananas
-maple syrup
-coconut butter
Pour some maple syrup and coconut butter into a pan and let it heat. Slice bananas and fry them until they caramelized.
Čas je za angelsko sladico. Naredila sem angel food biskvit, čokoladni ganache, kremo z belo čokolado ter karamelizirane banana. Sladica je super, ravno prav sladka.

ANGEL FOOD BISKVIT
-4 velike beljake
-150g sladkorja
-60g moke
-1 žličko sode bikarbone
-1 žličko limoninega soka
-1 žličko vaniljevega ekstrakta
-ščepec soli
Najprej pripravimo beljake. Ločimo jajca in beljake pustimo počivati na sobni temperaturi vsaj 30 minut pred uporabo.
V drugi posodi zmešamo skupaj moko, 100 g sladkorja, sol ter sodo bikarbono. Dvakrat vse skupaj presejemo skozi sito. V večjo posodo damo beljake in jih počasi stepamo. Sproti dodajamo preostali sladkor in mešamo dokler ne dobimo penaste mase. Dodamo limonin sok in še malo premešamo.
S plastično lopatko vmešamo suhe sestavine v treh delih. Pazimo, da mase ne mešamo preveč, saj bomo tako izgubili ves zrak, ki smo ga vmešali beljakom.
Vlijemo v pekač in pečemo 25-30 minut pri 175°C ali dokler ni biskvit rahlo rjavkast. Pekla sem v pekaču za ameriške krofe, dobila pa sem 12 malih biskvitov. Za končno sladico sem porabila dva biskvita na porcijo.
ČOKOLADNI GANACHE:
-200 g temne čokolade
-100 ml sladke smetane
Čokolado zrežemo na majhne koščke in postavimo v posodo. Zavremo smetano in jo prelijemo čez čokolado. Dobro premešamo, da se vsa čokolada raztopi in pustimo da se masa rahlo ohladi.
KREMA Z BELO ČOKOLADO:
-300 ml sladke smetane
-100 g bele čokolade
Nad paro stopimo belo čokolado nato pa pustimo da se rahlo ohladi. Stepamo smetano in proti koncu počasi dodajamo belo čokolado.
CVRTE BANANE:
-2 banani
-javorov sirup
-kokosova mast
Kokosovo mast in javorov sirup vlijemo v ponev. Banana zrežemo na poljubno velike kose in jih pri zmernem ognju cvremo dokler stranice ne karamelizirajo.
